The dragon is incredible, but I do kinda wish you made a more interesting background to really bring out the dragon.

One of the best dragon action poses I've seen in a while - and old Drago is well designed, too.

I think the BG compliments it just fine.

I think that the dragon is ok, except his wings, they look very very heavy and bringing him down. it's going to be a hard landing hehe

"... would you guys be kind enough to give me some tips on how to create depths at the backgrounds. ..."

It's not so much about color as it is value (lightness/darkness). Yes, choose color that harmonizes with the color scheme, but keep in mind that the more objects recede (the further back they are in your art) the lighter in value, and the less detail you see and the softer the edges and more muted the tones. It's called "atmospheric perspective" and is an illusion that replicates the depth we see in nature.

Conversely, the closer you want an object to appear, do the opposite (i.e.) the more intense and detailed the objects and the sharper the edges. There are exceptions to this rule, but for the most part they are good to start from.

:) Good detail on the dragon
:) Lighting on the dragon is quite good
:) Mostly well composed, although it would benefit immensely by having one of the dragon's wings curve right out of the picture instead of the tips just touching the border
:( You've put so much detail into the face that it almost looks like you've changed styles.
:( The perspective on your landscape is off. Not too much, but enough to be obvious.
:( Your landscape is too washed out - you've gone way overboard on intensity. I suspect you did it to bring out the dragon, but in including so much solid white it actually makes the dragon look pasted.
:( The wings look fat instead of billowing. Tilting them slightly towards the viewer and Including more of the underside would have improved this.

Very nice work I agree with BaronImpossible about the "fat wings"
I love the dragon pose, the movement is very well done :)

I dont find the wings fat, I find the bellowed with air showing the power of his down draft push with his wings. I dont think the perspective is off either after placing my mouse to roughly where I figured the vanishing points would be. Very well done.

This is gorgeous! The detail on the dragon is amazing! I love the hard contrast on him, specially the head. The colors you used are really sweet

you eliminate flatness with oodles of contrast. Introduce a different color when you're doing the shadow and highlighting. Don't be afraid of being inventive with your color. I would have chosen a backdrop color scheme that really popped out the dragon. Like instead of a sunset, maybe a dark and stormy afternoon.
